3D scanning for seamless measurement of the geometry

The 3D scanning services offered by Nopec are the result of our deep roots in the industry. It is precisely from this industrial background that we consistently focus on the highest quality standards. Accordingly, we use advanced techniques such as fringe and blue light scanning and laser scanners.

Reliability for the industry

Our 3D scanning services include technical 3D scans for industry
as well as applications with texture for products of all kinds. In the industrial sector, our focus is on precise data acquisition and measurement of components. Our quality control, management and 3D engineering service enables you to assess the accuracy of your components
or to re-produce components with ease.

Attention to detail for design objects

In the design sector, our services are used to capture and further develop design objects.
Trust in our experience and benefit from our customized solutions in the field of 3D engineering.

Precision for your company

In the industrial sector, the focus is primarily on precise measurement of components and data acquisition, for example for quality control based on statistical evaluation of measurement series. Our service helps you to assess the accuracy of your components over longer production runs and batches or to record older components for reproduction.

Application areas of 3D measurement

Automotive parts

The areas of application for 3D scanning services in the automotive sector are diverse and offer innovative solutions. High precision enables the accurate capture and analysis of vehicle components for design, modification and quality assurance. Automotive manufacturers and suppliers benefit from precise measurements, digital reproductions and virtual simulations to optimize vehicle development.

Tools for injection molding & forming technology

During manufacturing for production, tools are adapted to improve processes and parts. As a result, the data status from the planning phase often deviates from the actual tools. For older tools, there is sometimes no CAD data at all. 3D scans are always the starting point for the creation and modification of CAD models of such tools.

Medical technology

Precise 3D models support the development of customized medical implants and aids. Virtual visualizations optimize complex surgical planning. Precise measurement data enables the individual fitting of prostheses and orthoses.

Prototypes

Prototypes undergo manual adjustments during development. Intermediate statuses are compared with the original model through continuous data acquisition. Changes to the component are immediately identified and corrected in the data. This reduces the design effort involved in adapting the CAD model.

Injection molded parts

Complex plastic parts pose a challenge during the introductory phase of production. Injection parameters have to be optimized and adjustments often have to be made to the tool. 3D scanning enables all shape and position checks to be carried out at a glance. This speeds up the adjustment of injection parameters and simplifies design adjustments.

Design objects & art objects

A major player in the digital capture and reproduction of artworks, sculptures and other creative works. Creative professionals can use this innovative technology to take accurate measurements, create detailed models and produce stunning visuals.

Die casting, sand casting & gravity die casting

3D scanning is the ideal method for inspecting initial sample metal castings. Every geometric element is captured without gaps. The precision of the 3D scans exceeds the specified tolerances by a factor of ten to a hundred. A direct comparison with the CAD provides immediate insights into all shape and position properties.

Machine parts & assemblies

High-precision 3D scanning of machine parts and assemblies facilitates the creation of corresponding CAD models. These can then be modified as required. A key area of application here is data acquisition for spare parts production in mechanical engineering.

Biogenic forms

Biologically created objects, whether from flora or fauna, are characterized by their unique and free forms. They are often so complex that they can only be described by an immense number of surfaces or geometric points. A 3D scan captures the complexity in all layers and at a high level of detail. All features, whether fine structures or surface roughness, are captured simultaneously. The resulting STL model, the image of the biological object created in this way, can then be used for analysis and medical diagnosis as well as in research and production.

The following applies to all these applications:

We have a wide range of scanners for objects of all sizes. Most of the objects we scan will fit on a tabletop, but basically there are no size restrictions!

With our scanners with the highest resolution, we can even create a

That depends. Since all of our 3D scanners work with optical cameras, it can be a challenge to capture data from highly reflective objects without the scan data being very “noisy”. We can solve this problem by preparing the surface with a powder that attenuates the reflection. This powder does not react with common surfaces and can normally be easily removed with a cloth without leaving any residue.

Yes, absolutely! In fact, this is our specialty because our entire team comes from an engineering background. We have the experience and the tools to make 3D scan data compatible with traditional CAD systems.

We are happy to work with artists on 3D scanning projects to create a digital copy of their work before it is delivered to the client. We are also experienced in 3D scanning small objects that need to be enlarged for large sculptures.

Yes, with some of our scanners we can scan objects in full color. This can be particularly useful for 3D scans intended for digital archiving or artwork.

Yes, we can definitely scan a person. This scanner also captures color data. The colour texture makes the data look very real, but you have to bear in mind that a person cannot be stabilized in the same way as an artificial object. The precision of the scanner then comes up against the natural (micro) movements of the human being. Human contours can therefore be captured very well, but hair and details such as skin folds are difficult with a living, moving object.

We are able to scan architectural structures and rooms. Entire buildings are also possible.
